
The contestants may have been small but their hearts were so big they won Australians over in record numbers. Junior MasterChef was watched by 2.6 million people at its peak and each week 54.4 per cent of those viewers were in the all-important 18 to 49 year old demographic.
Junior MasterChef auditioned 5,500 hopeful young cooks aged from 8 to 12 from across Australia to arrive at a Top 50who then competed for a place in the Top 12.
These plucky finalists faced grueling Pressure and Invention Tests and Team Challenges, as they endeavouredto score as many points as possible from judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, Matt Preston and Anna Gare.
Shine Australia brings Season Two of Junior MasterChef Australia back to Network Ten in 2011.The contestants will stillbe small but the show will be bigger and better than before, bubbling over with surprise new tests and celebrity guests.
